“ Such a great chocolate store and so close by to boot! I visited Lee Sims recently to buy some chocolates for the family for the holidays. Although the area around Lee Sims looked a little rough around the edges, the chocolate store itself was cutely decorated for the holidays with chocolates and Christmas decorations in the store front window. As for chocolates, Lee Sims had a huge variety. In the end, though, I chose a box of 36 chocolates and a box of roasted nuts. Each of the chocolates was fantastic and the nuts were salted and roasted to perfection. Highly recommend this local chcolatier if you are in the area. ”

She spoke of her family history with the place and how she as a young girl wasn't a massive beneficiary of the family owning a chocolate shop as her parents didn't bring much chocolate home. She was so sweet and personable and I appreciated the warm energy. That all said, loved the wide varying selection and have only begun to sample my purchase. The dark chocolate marzipan is phenomenal. I can't wait to treat myself a piece or two every night. Thanks so much again!!. ”
“ Great old school chocolate shop located in Mcginley Square in Jersey City. They have just about any kind of chocolate or confection you could need here and all of them are great. Highlights of the chocolates are the pecan turtles and peanut butter delights. Good luck leaving there without something more than you planned on buying. The staff here are great.....helpful and very nice. It gets very busy in here and the store is small so be prepared to squeeze in. The parking outside is also very limited so prepare for that as well. If you need to ship chocolates they do that here as well. Why go buy crappy chocolates at a grocery store when you can come here and get great home made chocolates for a great price. This is the last chocolate shop located in Jersey City so shop here and support local small business. A must stop. ”
“ My kids received two boxes of Lee Sims's chocolates for Valentine's Day and I had about 75% of them. I'm truly impressed. The chocolate is fresh and tasty and the various filings were equally nice. The chocolates also come in cool vintage boxes, which is a good touch. In all, if you're not about all the frills and just love good old fashioned chocolate, this is your place. ”
“ Friends of ours recently sent us a care package from Lee Sims, an old school chocolatier and it could have not come at a better time. Three boxes: one filled with freshly roasted and salted nuts, the freshest and most delicious Italian cookies and a box of mixed filled chocolates. Woo hee. Were all of the above so good. I'll highlight the Italian cookies. I'm typically a hater. "Chalkly, sugary, flavorless" are my typical responses, but these could not have been further from the truth with these. The best. I barely saved any for my husband who absolutely loves these cookies. The chocolates were so good. My father in law always sends us Sees, and I don't think I'll ever be able to look at a Sees chocolate again after Lee Sims. Even the weird fruit filled ones, were still extremely good. The chocolate was of high quality and so fresh. They were nicely packaged and a perfect gift during a sad time. Checking their website: it looks like have a multitude of affordable gift options, which is nice option during these times and sending gifts. This gift made me miss Jersey City even more than I already do! ”
